revival: “This is the darkest timeline?” A “fanon” attempt to put coherence in the mythology by connecting the revival to 4D and the IDW comics (Esp + Eng subs). Whatever puts more credence to the canon status of the Joe Harris comics vs the revival’s mismanaged twists is good for me!

Lyrics to theme, the whole thing organized by Frank Spotnitz! Better than “The X-Files is a show / With music by Mark Snow”?
Some faces here in the video I haven’t seen in a while, and many people having fun with the whole concept — were Nick Lea Rob Bowman going for a whole 1990s music video?

Rob Bowman did his own thing with the lyrics to ! This is really like a music video or something you would find as a hidden bonus in the DVD of “Fight the Future”!

Interview with the writer of the upcoming book, “The Official Archives – Cryptids, Biological Anomalies, and Parapsychic Phenomena”, Paul Terry, out September 15 + sneak peeks into “El Mundo Gira”, “Tithonus” & “Agua Mala”! Nice to read that this involved taking photos of actual props created for the series and stored in the (mythical) FOX vaults, and includes feedback from Carter, Spotnitz and Gilligan.

gets the “Star Trek: Lower Decks” treatment with an animated comedy spin off, “Albuquerque”, essentially on cases even Mulder and Scully considered unwanted! Carter-approved but he won’t be writing. I don’t know if this is the best or worst idea ever.

Clip from a previous adult animation show from “#TheXFiles: Albuquerque” project’s creators, Russo & Sosenko, and same animation studio (Fox’s Bento Box): “Brickleberry”… I’m not a fan. But weirder things have happened, quality-wise (see: Todd Phillips, The Hangover followed by Joker).

IDW Publishing still holds the license for comics – there are plans for future comics, but no plans for when these would be published. As a reminder, sales were decreasing as IDW moved from Joe Harris’ excellent Season 10/11 in 2013-2016 to revival-set comics to one-offs, ending in 2018.

“The X-Files Lexicon” launches “The Lone Gunmen Chronicles”, promising deep information on the short lived series (2001)! The website is styled after the magazine that appeared in the show! I always thought the series had potential, but was better suited as a half-hour format instead of a full hour.
